Today, the most important question in the mind of a child who is passing out of class 10 is s– “Which stream do I choose in class 11?”

This is the most important question and cannot be left unanswered or wrongly answered since answering this question correctly will lay a fine foundation before building ones career.

There are various considerations that one should take before making this choice. The most important ones are mentioned below.

whatever career choice one makes, entry into it will be affected by ones subject choice in your plus Two level. For instance, you want to go for Engineering then you need to take PCM as a compulsory subject. If it is Medical, it is PCB.

Lets say it is CA /CS /CFA, you can choose any subject at this level, no restriction. So lets say you want to for it go for commerce ... its going to complement your career choice.

Similarly, lets say you want to go for management. Take any stream till graduation you can plan for it, no subject restriction. But there also one important consideration after Management candidates having technical degrees along with it are highly sought for.

When you have to think about career options just look into what kind of person you are? Let’s see with an example- if one is an introvert i.e. Not comfortable in a group and keen into engineering one could think of computer engineering. Let’s say someone is a greater talker, good in fighting for right cause, he/she could think of Law.

Aptitude

One needs to have the right aptitude to select a particular career because every career option has a different skill requirement. If someone wants to study accounting –he/she should be good with numbers similarly if somebody wants to be a lawyer he/she must have fantastic communication skills. To get an evaluation of skills, one could go for a psychometric test which evaluates a person’s skills based on the personality, emotional quotient, skills etc.
